Joan (Giles) Kolbauer
With the exception of a couple of years living in Stonewall,
I have lived all of my adult life in Winnipeg, and for the past 33 years, in the
area of Winnipeg known as East Kildonan. While I was quite sickly as a teenager,
I have enjoyed excellent health as an adult. I love meeting up with my Stonewall
friends every couple of months when we get together for lunch!

Bonnie (Jackson) Place
With the exception of one year in Ottawa & Montreal and 3 years on Baffin Island,
Bonnie has always lived in Stonewall. She retired in December 2004 and since retiring she has spent several
months of the year in BC with 2 of her 3 daughters. Bonnie is very fortunate to enjoy good health and is really
enjoying life as a retiree. She has joined the Red Hat Society, which is proving to be a lot of
fun --- a bunch of women over 50 who dress in red & purple and go on excursions as a group. They
certainly attract a lot of attention! Bonnie also works as a girl Friday and courier when needed at
her daughter’s tanning & hair salon. This doesn’t pay much but the benefits are “terrific”.
