General
Gloria married Jim Ackland on June 26 1959. Their four children were born in Winnipeg. Gloria stayed home with the kids, until 1986, when the family moved to Creston, BC, where Jim and Gloria operated a McLeod's Hardware store.

Family
Gloria and her husband, Jim Ackland have four children and five wonderful grand children, aged 26, 18, 12 and 2, who are 11 years old. Gloria loves spending time with her grand children. they are a joy!

Work History
Jim and Gloria operated a McLeod's Hardware store in Creston, BC (1986 – 1991). In 1991, they moved to Winfield, BC (Lake Country), where they owned and operated a coffee shop until 1999. For the past 7 years Gloria has enjoyed being a Long Term Care Aide. She gets great satisfaction looking after the elderly.

Hobbies and Interests
Gloria's hobby is "watching soaps" and gardening. She is now into exercising (Curves).
