General
Heather has retired from teaching, but is currently working as a "Home Stay Manager" for her school district's international student program. She has been married to Gabriel for 42 years and they are really enjoying their retirement.

Family
Heather and Gabriel have four children (three of whom live close-by, while the other lives in Prince Edward Island) and five grand daughters. Among the children and their partners they have eleven university degrees, plus practical college certificates --- 3 teachers, 1 verterinarian, 2 professional artists, etc. They are proud of all of them.

Work History
Heather worked as a teacher, counsellor and administrator for 35 years. She says that she couldn't have chosen a more soul-satisfying job. Her other choice of profession would have been law.

Hobbies and Interests

1. Hiking along their ocean shores and in the mountains
2. Reading
3. Enjoying music
4. Volunteer at a seniors home
5. Executive positions on community boards (she prefers to just help, but often ends up as secretary, newsletter producer, etc.)
6. Travel (about two months per year)
7. Grand children are a major focus
